This is Ben now. . .
He did it snowboarding on Thursday. It was a complete dislocation of his right shoulder. The X-rays make my stomach turn and the story of it being jammed back in makes me light-headed.
The poor guy has a shiny-bright, brand-new sandblaster, compressor, and 200 pounds of sand in the garage waiting to be used for their first time. But no arms to use it.
The doctors say 6 weeks, Ben's thinking more like 4 or 5 days. . . or maybe this afternoon.
I realize it is basically impossible to understand what you are looking at, but let me just say that the big white blob in the middle of the X-ray should be all the way up underneath the white line at the top. Yah, ouch.
POST SCRIPT: There has been some debate if that first picture is really Ben or some stock photo. To clear the record, yes that is Ben. Honest, I promise.

Ouch! Ben you are suck a Rock Star. You have wounds and everything. You'll be ready to use that new tool in no time!
oh benny :(
That's pretty bad. But just remind him that he could be casted on both arms up above his elbows for 4 weeks like Rich was last summer. No fun. So Sorry.
Jen J.
i did notice that he's wearing the snowboarding ac/dc shirt. i sure hope he was wearing cologne when he hurt himself because when you smell good, you really hurt yourself...or something like that.
Yes yes Josie! That was Colin who always said "When you smell good, you ride good." . . as he drenched himself in a half-bottle of cologne.
Poor, Poor Benjamin. The sad truth is that he is getting too old for the park.
OUCH! That sucks.
Hey Briar! I got your blog address from another person from home's blog. When I saw your name I just wondered how you were...I thought I'd see what you are up to. Blogs are great! All I have to say is that jump looks pretty SWEET! Man what a rush it must have been. Stinks to get hurt though...feel better. Rock on--Luv, Ali Darrington (Facer)
Poor Benny boy.
Steve recognizes the photo. He says it's from Targhee and can name the spot - he was there and can verify!
We're getting old aren't we?
