This is what my brother Jake sent in an email this morning. He drove down to California and met up with my sister, Josie, who flew down with her two boys to help out at Amy's house during all of this. They took over my mom's post who left after being there for 4 days. It looks like they are doing a good job of keeping Elle's mind off of things. Meanwhile, Gwen is awake and working on getting well enough to come home.

I think I could live with my kids jumping from the 2nd story to the couch if I could also get amazing pictures taken of my kids all day by Jake.
I have been so utterly busy that I haven't been able to frequent your blog! I just got on right now to read about your sweet niece! What a miracle she is doing okay. You said she was hit by a car. Was it in a residential area...what happened????
